I purchased this water bottle not because I needed yet another, but because I wanted a way to transport hot water to work in a vessel that will keep it warm but also and most importantly, not have a plastic component come into contact what that hot water. Our water at work has a weird taste so if I want to have tea, I need to bring my own. 8 oz of hot water for a cup of tea fit fine in this bottle and it was still hot hours later when I was ready to pour. I'm not sure if Stasher intended this bottle be used for very hot liquids, but so far the experience was fine and if there are no hiccups or dangers, I intend to keep using it for this purpose.

I was excited about this nice-looking bottle but I can't use it. Everything has a metallic taste. The fit of the lid on the bottle is somewhat strange and the lid (which seems to be something other than stainless steel?) leaves a residue on the top of the bottle (where you put your mouth when you drink from it). I hoped perhaps I was imagining it but I rubbed a cloth around the top of the bottle and a silver-grey residue came off! Yuck! I've washed everything several times carefully and this persists.

I have 2 of these and now ordering more because my family like it so much they are making off with it! I wish Stasher had more colors and the lagoon blue is nice. We carry reusable water or coffee bottles every day. We are actively reducing the plastic in the household and really enjoy this product.

Completely plastic-free metal water bottle kept cold water cold inside a hot car on a near-90 day for 3 hours. (Then I drank the water so I don’t know how long it would last but it’s very long.) The lid is secure and doesn’t leak - for the first day the cap sometimes felt like the seal wasn’t conforming to the bottle threads every time, and felt like it was sometimes cross-threaded and leaky, but after I adjusted it multiple times that first day it now is easy to seal and no leaks when fully screwed on. Plus unlike a plastic lid this one will not crack if you drop it.

One of the nicest features of the bottle is the soft bottom - no clang noise when you set down the bottle. The finish can show dull scratches but my painted metal water bottles with plastic lids flake and scratch, so signs of wear are normal on water bottles.
