Cleaning & Tips
- Easy Cleaning - Wash your Stasher bags, bowls, and stretch lids in the dishwasher or by hand with warm, soapy water. Check the seals to make sure no food is stuck inside.Make sure to check the seals to ensure no food has gotten stuck.
- Protect the Seals - Avoid turning bags and bowls inside out to help preserve the seals over time.
- Stains or Odors - Place Stasher in direct sunlight for a few hours to lift stains. For lingering smells, soak in a 50/50 hot water and vinegar mix, or bake on an oven-safe tray at 350°F for 10–15 minutes.
- Sharp Objects - Steer clear of sharp edges and knives. Stasher products are durable, but not indestructible.

How much do the Stasher Stretch lids stretch?
Generally, all our lids can stretch 1-3 inches larger than their resting size. Circle Lids: Our 9” covers dinner plates to mixing bowls. The 6.5” covers cereal bowls to salad plates. Our 4.5” covers melons to small mixing bowl. The 2.5” cover canned food to small fruits. Rectangle and Square Lids: Our 9x13” rectangle lid stretches to cover standard casserole and lasagna pans. And the 8” square lid stretched to cover standard brownie and cake pans. Lids may tear if stretched too far.
Are Stretch Lids dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven safe?
Yes. They are safe in the freezer and dishwasher (top or bottom rack). They’re safe for the microwave and oven up to 425°F / 218°C. If using in the oven or microwave, make sure the lid is pulled back/vented at one corner to avoid the lid popping off. Unlike our Bags, our Lids are thinner, thus we recommend Lids only be used in the oven for a maximum of 45-60 minutes and are vented.
How do I get the best seal using my stretch lid?
Make sure both the lid and dish are completely dry & free of oily residue or food before sealing. For the most secure, leak-free seal use a specific-sized lid its proper sized container.

To be honest, I bought the just to increase my order to get free shipping. Figured I'd use them just to seal cans of beer or soda so I could drink them later. After receiving them, I realized they were way more useful than I thought. I have small ceramic ramekins, small glass storage containers, and small Nordic Ware prep bowls where I grab one of these instead of the original lids! Lot more stretch than I expected.
