How to Bake Salmon in a Stasher Bag
With all of the holiday baking hullabaloo that has begun, I know that I’ve been on the lookout for quick, delicious, and healthy dinner recipes. Enter: baked salmon with a honey clove balsamic glaze! This salmon is so simple to throw together and super delicious. It’s a little sweet, a little tangy, with just a hint of spice from ground cloves. Roasting the salmon inside of a stasher bag keeps the fish perfectly moist! Be sure to grab fresh, wild-caught salmon if you can. It has a gorgeous deep reddish/pink color and is much more sustainably raised - and more nutrient dense, too!
Roasted Salmon with Honey Clove Balsamic Glaze
(Serves 2)
RECIPE:
- 8 oz fresh, wild-caught salmon
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ c balsamic vinegar
- ¼ t ground cloves
- 2 T raw honey
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Rinse salmon with very cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place salmon inside of a stasher and leave the bag partially open to vent. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and the juices run clear. Take out of the oven and let rest. * handle with care; stasher bag will be hot*
- To prepare the glaze, heat vinegar, cloves, and honey over the stove in a small pot on medium heat. Bring to a simmer and, stirring constantly, let it simmer for 5-10 minutes. The glaze should thicken, and will continue to thicken as it cools. Drizzle over baked salmon and serve!
